COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team is ranked second in the first regular-season NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.
The Blue Raiders garnered 288 points in the poll to move up one spot from their preseason ranking. Lindsey Wilson is off to a 3-1 start this season and posted a runner-up finish at the ITA NAIA Indoor National Championships. The Blue Raiders defeated Georgia Gwinnett and Southeastern (Fla.) before falling to Keiser (Fla.) in the finals.
Cumberlands (Ky.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) also represent the Mid-South Conference in the top 25. The Patriots earned 165 points to be slotted 14th, while the Phoenix garnered 72 points in 23rd.
Keiser sits atop the poll with 300 points and all 11 first-place votes. Tennessee Wesleyan is third with 279 points, while Southeastern and William Carey (Miss.) round out the top five with 269 and 260 points, respectively.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on February 28 for an MSC match against Bethel (Tenn.) in McKenzie, Tennessee.
