COLUMBIA, Ky. - On the heels of her 10th career shutout, Lindsey Wilson softball junior Kayden Murray earned her eighth Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week award, league officials announced Monday.

The Bowling Green native collects her first weekly honor of the season to go with four from her freshman campaign and three more from last season.

In Friday's series sweep of Union Commonwealth (Ky.), Murray fired a complete-game shutout in game two to help the Blue Raiders to a 4-0 victory.

She retired the side on strikes twice and recorded multiple strikeouts in three different innings en route to a season-high 13 strikeouts. Murray surrendered six hits and did not allow a walk or hit-by-pitch.

With Friday's result, Murray sits at 2-1 with a conference-high 30 strikeouts.

Kayden and her Blue Raider teammates host Northwestern Ohio at noon and 2 p.m. CT on Tuesday, February 24.
