COLUMBIA, Ky. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the qualifiers for the 2025 Men's Wrestling National Championships on Tuesday.
After the conference tournaments concluded, a 16-member national selection committee consisting of two representatives from each conference met to select the remaining national at-large qualifiers. In total, there were 70 at-large qualifiers. The seeding and preliminary brackets will be announced on NAIA.org by 5 p.m. (CST) on Friday, February 27.
Set to represent Lindsey Wilson are
Alex Tabor,
Adrian Ayala,
Emmanuel Celestine,
Cory Cannan,
Ashton Habeil, and
Miguel Perez. Tabor, Ayala, Celestine, Cannan, and Habeil all earned automatic bids after their performances at the Mid-South Conference Championship, while Perez was an at-large selection.
Tabor finished runner-up at 133 while Ayala captured a conference championship at 141. Celestine placed third at 157, and Celestine and Cannan finished second and third at 184, respectively. Perez placed sixth at 285.
Grand View (Iowa), Indiana Tech, Life (Ga.), Southeastern (Fla.), Cumberlands (Ky.) and Southern Oregon are all bringing 12 student-athletes to Wichita to compete for a national title. Providence (Mont.), Marian (Ind.) and Oklahoma City are each bringing 11. In total across the ten weight classes, 320 wrestlers were selected to compete for a chance at being named a national champion in their respective weight class.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference has the most national qualifiers with 60, while the Heart of America Conference follows close behind with 59.
The NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship gets underway on March 5 at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
