COLUMBIA, Ky. -  Lindsey Wilson student-athlete Gus Burtts has been named the Mid-South Conference Men's Archery Shooter of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.
 
Burtts, of Lynchburg, Tennessee, earns weekly honors for the second time this season and in his career. He was also named the Shooter of the Week back on October 7.
 
Burtts tied for the highest score in men's fixed pins at USA Indoor Nationals qualification over the weekend. He tied with Cumberlands' Jackson Ratajczak for the top score with a 1,193. Burtts carded a 298 in round one, followed by a 299 in the second round. He finished with a 297 in round three, and another 299 in the fourth round. Burtts carded 113 10s over the four rounds.
 
He and the Blue Raiders now wait for the overall results of the USA Indoor Nationals. The results are scheduled to be out in March.
 
Lindsey Wilson archery is back in action on April 9 for the first day of the USA Archery Outdoor Regional Championships in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
