COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's track and field team is ranked No. 10 in the latest NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Blue Raiders earned 79.36 total points, all from individual performances. This marks the
highest national ranking in school history for the Lindsey Wilson women's program.
Lindsey Wilson boasts several top-10 national performances. Freshman
Promise Amasiatu leads the way with a third-place mark in the 60 meters at 7.46 seconds and is sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.50, both from the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational.
Senior
Selena Johnson ranks fourth in the triple jump after leaping 11.94 meters at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational. Sophomore
Hannah Reid is fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 55.61 and 11th in the 200 meters at 24.76.
In the field, sophomore
Rosemond Owusu is seventh in the high jump with a clearance of 1.68 meters. Junior
Elaina Holliday ranks 12th in the long jump at 5.72 meters, while Owusu also sits 26th in the long jump. Junior
Chenessa Davis rounds out the scoring with a 35th-place mark in the 60-meter hurdles.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday, Feb. 6 in Louisville, Kentucky for the Eastern Indoors at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
