COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's track and field team is ranked No. 12 in the first NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Rating Index released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Blue Raiders have earned 70.04 total points, all from individual performances across nine nationally ranked events.
Lindsey Wilson holds top-five national marks in four events.
Rosemond Owusu and
Selena Johnson each lead the way with No. 4 rankings. Owusu cleared 1.68 meters in the high jump, while Johnson recorded an 11.94-meter mark in the triple jump — both set at the Vanderbilt Indoor Invitational.
Hannah Reid ranks fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 55.61 and
Promise Amasiatu is fifth in the 60 meters after clocking 7.52 seconds, also at Vanderbilt.
Elaina Holliday is 10th in the long jump with a distance of 5.72 meters, and Amasiatu adds another top-15 performance, sitting 12th in the 200 meters with a time of 24.92.
Owusu is also 30th in the long jump, while Reid ranks 27th in the 60 meters. In the throws,
Reagan Cheatham sits 33rd in the weight throw with a mark of 15.37 meters.
The Blue Raiders return to competition on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30-31, at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
