Lindsey Wilson took the lead 1-0 in the bottom half of the first on a Caden Davis RBI single. The Blue Raiders added three more runs in the second to increase the lead to 4-0 on a Sidler two-run single and a Keith Stewart sacrifice fly. IU Southeast broke through with three runs in the top of the third via a bases-loaded walk, a sacrifice fly, and a runner stealing home on the throw down to second base. Sidler added another run in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run to give LWU the 5-3 advantage. The Blue Raiders scored two more runs in the top of the fifth on a sac fly from Ty Croghan and a Sidler RBI single. Lindsey Wilson scored two more in the sixth to increase the lead to 9-3 courtesy of an Amir Pineiro pinch-hit RBI single and an Isaac Samano sac fly.

In the top of the seventh inning, IU Southeast showed why it's ranked No. 23 in the NAIA. The Grenadiers sent 18 batters to the plate and scored 13 runs, highlighted by a Goodwin home run and a Hamilton home run. After the 13 runs, IU Southeast led the Blue Raiders 16-9. However, Lindsey Wilson didn't go down without a fight. Keith Stewart hit an absolute bomb that reached the LWU softball park to make the score 16-11. Brandon Gaskin drove in another run to make the score 16-12 after seven innings of play. Two home runs by the Grenadiers in the top of the eighth made the score 19-12. Hamilton hit his second home run of the game to make the score 23-12 going into the bottom of the ninth. Drake Young led the inning off with a no-doubter home run to bring Lindsey Wilson within 10 runs. Brandon Gaskin added another run on his first home run of the season to bring the game within single digits. RBI singles by Andres Duran and Sidler made the score 23-16. The late surge was not enough as the Blue Raiders were unable to recover and avoid the season sweep from IU Southeast.

Lindsey Wilson travels to No. 2-ranked Georgia Gwinnett this weekend for a three-game series starting Friday at 2 p.m. CT, followed by a doubleheader Saturday starting at 11 a.m. CT.
