Atlanta, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's track and field teams competed across two meets over the weekend, taking part in the Centre Twilight on Friday in Danville, Kentucky, and the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia.
On the women's side,
Hannah Reid led the way on Saturday at Georgia Tech with a strong performance in the 400 meters, placing 10th with a time of 54.52 to meet a NAIA "A" standard. Reid also ran a leg on the 4x400-meter relay team alongside Ta'Shya Cramer,
Elaina Holliday, and
Sancia Smith, with the group finishing 10th in 3:51.53 to meet a NAIA "B" standard.
Also competing on Saturday,
Rosemond Owusu added a solid performance in the high jump, clearing 1.67 meters to meet a NAIA "B" standard and finish seventh overall.
At Centre on Friday,
Arianna Payne recorded a runner-up finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 14:15.41. In the field events,
Reagan Cheatham placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.44 meters and added a seventh-place finish in the discus at 34.66 meters.
Nevaeh Acklin also contributed with a fourth-place finish in the discus at 35.06 meters.
On the men's side,
Ashton Johnson led the distance group on Friday at Centre with a third-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase, crossing the line in 10:30.71.
Mason Magyar followed in fourth at 10:53.24, while Zack McCaslin placed sixth with a time of 11:11.12.
In the field events,
Elijah Bullock finished seventh in the shot put with a mark of 14.12 meters.
Lindsey Wilson will return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 24–25, at the Clark Wood Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
