Cousin Added to Men's Soccer Coaching Staff as Assistant Coach

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson men's soccer head coach Sicelo Buthelezi announced the hiring of Jack Cousin as the program's next assistant coach.

A native of Alva, Scotland, Cousin brings collegiate coaching experience and a strong background in player development to one of the NAIA's most successful men's soccer programs.

"I am thrilled to welcome Jack as our new assistant coach," expresses Buthelezi. "He brings a deep understanding of both our conference and our program. Jack is dynamic, young coach who is hungry to grow and compete as the highest level. We are confident his energy and expertise will elevate our program."

Cousin's coaching resume includes stops with Nashville Rhythm of the Women's Premier Soccer League, Nashville United Soccer Academy, the Tennessee Olympic Development Program and the Pre-College Development Academy of the United Premier Soccer League in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Most recently, Cousin served as the MLS NEXT coach and college recruitment director for Seattle Celtic in Seattle, Washington, beginning in June 2025. He previously directed U15-U19 academy teams for Seattle Celtic from January 2022 through August 2023. In 2024, Cousin received his "B" license from the United States Soccer Federation.

Cousin graduated from University of the Cumberlands with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science in 2017. As a student-athlete, he made 39 appearances for the Patriots and earned Second Team All-Mid-South Conference honors in both 2014 and 2015.

He later completed a master's degree at Upper Iowa University while serving as a graduate assistant coach for the Peacocks women's soccer program. Following his collegiate career, Cousin played professionally for the Erie Commodores FC of the National Premier Soccer League.

"I'm delighted for the opportunity to join the men's soccer program," says Cousin. "From my first conversations, it was clear there is a strong commitment to player development and building a winning culture.

Having played against Lindsey Wilson as a player, I have always admired the standards this program sets within the Mid-South Conference and its consistent success on the national level.

I'm excited to get to work alongside the staff and players and contribute to the continued success of the program, both on and off the field."
