COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson University Sports Information Director
Anthony Latessa has been voted the 2025-26 Bill Sergent Sports Information Director of the Year by his peers in the Mid-South Conference.
The award is presented to a sports communicator who demonstrates outstanding service in their profession to their institution, the Mid-South Conference, and to the NAIA at the conference, regional, and national levels.
"I am very honored to be voted by my peers for this award," expresses Latessa. "We have an outstanding group of sports information directors in the conference, and to receive this award is such an honor.

Nick Heymoss, for all of their hard work in helping cover Lindsey Wilson University athletics."
Latessa joined the Lindsey Wilson Sports Information staff as director in March 2023 and earns his first Bill Sergent Sports Information Director of the Year honor.

During the 2025-26 academic year, Latessa served as the statistician for the Mid-South Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, the play-by-play broadcaster for the conference baseball tournament, helped lead media operations and coverage for postseason men's and women's soccer matches hosted on Lindsey Wilson's campus, and assisted in the promotion of the conference's players of the week.
Throughout the year, Latessa covered Blue Raider football's Mid-South Conference championship and appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series, as well as the men's and women's tennis teams' runs through the Mid-South Conference and NAIA national tournaments. He also served as the primary sports information contact for archery, cheerleading, and women's wrestling while overseeing communications, statistics, website content, social media, and game-day operations for those programs.
