COLUMBIA, KY – The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team returns to Biggers Sports Center on Tuesday, August 25, welcoming Pikeville (Ky.) for a non-conference matchup. Junior varsity action is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT, followed by the varsity match at 7 p.m. CT.
 
Lindsey Wilson enters Tuesday's matchup with a 3-3 overall record after earning a 3-0 victory over Union Commonwealth (Ky.) last Thursday. The Blue Raiders look to carry that momentum into Tuesday's home matchup as they continue their early season schedule.
 
The Lady Bears enter Tuesday's matchup with a 1-0 record after opening their season with a 3-2 victory over Rio Grande (Ohio) last Tuesday. Cassidy Rivas had a double-double of 12 kills and 13 digs, while Chloie Brinton had 41 assists and 14 digs. 
 
The Blue Raiders earned a 3-2 victory last season at Pikeville but have been dominant against the Lady Bears at home, holding a perfect 19-0 record. Luisina Sandrone Tais hit .203 across two matches last week with 25 kills and five service aces. Sofija Pjevic, in her first match back from injury, hit .462 with 7 kills on 13 attempts.
 
The junior varsity team will also return to the court Tuesday for its second match of the season and its first home contest of the 2026 campaign. The junior varsity team opened its season with a 2-0 sweep of Union Commonwealth last Thursday and will look to remain unbeaten in its second outgoing. 
 
Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m. CT, with the varsity match scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at Biggers Sports Center in Columbia, Kentucky.
