COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Bethel on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center, taking the three sets 25-16, 29-27 and 25-11.

The Blue Raiders established control early in the opening set, using a pair of service aces from Luisina Sandrone Tais and kills from Gabi Zuquelo to build an advantage. Lindsey Wilson continued to separate itself as the set progressed, taking the opening frame 25-16. The Blue Raiders hit .333 in the set while holding Bethel to a .138 hitting percentage.
Bethel provided a much closer challenge in the second set. Lindsey Wilson and Bethel traded points throughout the frame before the set extended beyond 25 points. The Blue Raiders received kills from Zuquelo and Natalie Wandrie during the closing stretch and used a block from Sofija Pjevic and Sandrone Tais to help secure the 29-27 victory.
Lindsey Wilson then closed out the match with its strongest offensive set of the afternoon. The Blue Raiders hit .500 in the third set and recorded five service aces, building an early advantage before pulling away for a 25-11 win. Sandrone Tais added two aces during the stretch, while Brooke Robinson and Duda Becho contributed kills as Lindsey Wilson finished the sweep.
Zuquelo led the Blue Raiders with 10 kills on 17 attacks for a .412 hitting percentage. Robinson added eight kills on 16 attacks while hitting .438, and Wandrie recorded eight kills. Sandrone Tais finished with seven kills, four aces and two block assists.
Rachel Kilchenmann recorded 17 assists, while Addison Janes added 16 assists, eight digs and one ace. Momo Hampton contributed six assists, three digs and one ace, while the Blue Raiders finished with 34 digs and 10 block assists as a team.
The Blue Raiders return to action at 7 p.m. on September 29 at Lebanon, Tennessee.
