COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team never trailed in beating Ohio State University Mansfield 130-51 today at Biggers Sports Center.
Seven Blue Raiders scored double figures led by junior guard George White's 23 points. The Louisville, Ky., native, hit 11-of-16 from the field. Senior forward Tim Labka came off the Lindsey Wilson bench to add his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Labka led the Blue Raiders to a 61-26 rebounding advantage.
The Blue Raiders (12-7) set a pair of program records in the win.
The 79-point scoring margin bested the previous mark set on Jan. 2, 1998, when Lindsey Wilson beat Indiana University Northwest by 65 points. Lindsey Wilson's 56 field goals bested its previous mark of 51 set on Nov. 24, 1992 against Graceland (Iowa) University.
The Blue Raiders made 61.5 percent (56-of-91) from the field, including 12-of-24 from three-point range.
Mansfield (3-21) ended making 31.7 percent (20-of-63) from the field.
Lindsey Wilson senior guard Donte' Williams scored 21 points while making 7-of-8 shots for the game. He made 5-of-6 from beyond the three-point arc.
Mansfield freshman guard Kyle Loudermilk finished with a team-high 14 points. Freshman guard Kevin Murphy added 10.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 26, as the Blue Raiders travel to Williamsburg, Ky., to face University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) in the two teams Mid-South Conference opener.
