COLUMBIA, Ky. -- After leading by 13 points at halftime, the Lindsey Wilson College men's basketball team outscored Ohio State University at Newark 44-16 in the second half for an 87-46 win on Friday at Biggers Sports Center.

Four Blue Raiders scored in double figures, led by senior Eric McPherson with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Freshman Kalen Kimberland finished with 15 points, while junior Stefan Juzbasic added 13 and junior Kemo Duncan chipped in 10.

Near the end of the first half the Blue Raiders led by as many as 16 points, although that late lead didn't paint the true story of the game.

At the eight-minute mark Lindsey Wilson and Ohio State-Newark were tied at 22 after Titan junior Steve Carles knocked down the front end of a bonus free throw after being fouled on a make by senior Tim Parker.

There were three ties in all in the first half before the Blue Raiders shut down the Titans' offense after the break.

At halftime Lindsey Wilson was shooting 58.1 percent from the field, while Ohio-State Newark hit just 36.4 percent of its attempts. The Titans were hot from three-point range, however, knocking down 4-of-6 shots.

The second half was a different story as Lindsey Wilson limited Ohio State-Newark to just seven percent shooting from behind the arc (1-for-14).

The one element of the game that kept it close in the beginning, three-point shooting, was lost for the Titans which led to the final difference of 41 points.

Carles was the lone player for the Titans in double figures scoring with 15 points. Elijah Clements added nine points and Max Hahn tallied eight.

The Blue Raiders won the rebound battle 43-30 and shot 59.0 percent from the field for the game, while the Titans managed just a 29.7 percentage.

With the win, Lindsey Wilson improves to 4-2 on the season, while Ohio State-Newark drops to an even 2-2.

Lindsey Wilson is back in action at 3 p.m. CT on Nov. 27 against Indiana University Northwest at the Mid-South Conference Challenge in Frankfort, Ky.
