COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College junior guard Joshua Cherry recorded the first triple-double of his career scoring 16 points, dishing out 12 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds to help lead the Blue Raiders to a 141-56 rout over Ohio State Mansfield today at Biggers Sports Center.
Eight Blue Raiders scored double figures and all nine players scored to help Lindsey Wilson win its 20th game of the season.
The Blue Raiders (20-5) opened the game scoring the first 19 points and never looked back en route to scoring a single game program-record 141 points. The Blue Raiders also set the program record with 58 field goals.
Lindsey Wilson shot a season-best 70.7 percent (58-of-82) for the game including a season-high 65.2 percent (15-of-23) from beyond the three-point arc. The Blue Raiders dominated the paint outscoring the Mavericks 82-10.
The Blue Raiders also excelled on the defensive end. Lindsey Wilson held Ohio State Mansfield (3-24) to 26.5 percent (18-of-68) shooting. The Blue Raiders forced 23 turnovers leading to 37 points.
Lindsey Wilson center Sam Walton (21points), sophomore guard Jeremiah Diebler (19) and junior forward Andrija Tintor (21) recorded career highs in the win.
Freshman guard Chase Spreen (12), junior guards Jeff Vories (18), Ismar Neto (15) and Eric McPherson (11) joined in with double digit scoring.
Mansfield junior guard Sam Barnhill had a team-high 16 points.
