Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College scored 10 unanswered runs on 20 hits to come from behind in game one and took the nightcap in extra innings to complete a doubleheader sweep of Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) on Friday in the LWC/Campbellsville Softball Classic at Egnew Park.

The Blue Raiders trailed the Crimson Wave 7-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning before going on to score 10 unanswered runs over the next three inning to steal the win in game one.

Calumet erased a 2-1 Lindsey Wilson (25-4) lead in the sixth inning of game two with a tying run, but ultimately lost in the bottom of the eighth as Emily Priar led off and drove home Alexis Rodgers on a hit that scored Rodgers from second due to the international tie breaker.

Hit were aplenty for the Blue Raiders in game one as Priar went 5-for-5 and shortstop Jamie Williams finished 3-for-3. Catcher Mikaila Etheredge, center fielder Travatia Bowden and second baseman Jordan Gilland all finished with three hits.

Williams and Etheredge hit home runs, while Priar rounded the bases for a triple.

After the hot start, Lindsey Wilson managed to tally just seven hits in game two, led by Etheredge's 3-for-3 showing at the plate. Pitcher Jordan Hood was the only other Blue Raider with multiple hits, going 2-for-3.

Hood hit a home run in the third inning that put the Blue Raiders up 2-1 until Calumet tied the game again in the sixth.

Cara Law relieved starter Lauren Seibert in the third inning of game one to pick up the win, allowing one run on three hits in 3-2/3 innings of work. Hood improved to 10-2 with the game-two win, allowing two runs on four hits in eight innings with 10 strikeouts.

Calumet (6-12) led game one 3-2 after two innings before exploding for four runs in the fourth inning on three hits and two walks with one of the runs scoring on a throwing error and the other on an illegal-pitch call against Seibert.

Facing a 7-2 deficit, Lindsey Wilson began to chip away in the bottom half of the inning with two runs on Williams' two-run shot that scored Priar who had singled earlier.

While holding Calumet scoreless over the next three innings, Lindsey Wilson got back on top with a seven-run fifth inning.

The high-scoring frame included seven hits and two walks and was highlighted by Etheredge's three-run homer which put the Blue Raiders in front for good.

Lindsey Wilson added a run in the sixth to take the final five-run lead as it finished the game without a strikeout.

Abigail Nelsen (1-6) took the loss, allowing nine runs on 18 hits in 5-2/3 innings.

Game two opened with each team scoring a run in the first inning, while the rest of the game was a back-and-forth affair.

Lindsey Wilson went in front in the third inning as Hood homered as the leadoff hitter. Calumet wouldn't score again until the sixth inning as designated hitter Samantha Abrego walked and eventually ran home on a wild throw by catcher Josie Cox.

The international tie breaker was used in the extra eighth inning, but Calumet couldn't take advantage, being sat down in 1-2-3 fashion.

Lindsey Wilson ended things quickly as Prair put down a bunt and first baseman Caitlyn Wilcox issued a wild throw to third trying to throw out Rodgers who advanced on the error to win the game.

Alex Latronica (3-3) went the distance in the losing effort, allowing three runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action in the classic at 10 a.m. CT against Davenport (Mich.), followed by a 2 p.m. tilt with Martin Methodist (Tenn.).
