COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Thomas (Ga.) made the most of its chances tonight in a 4-1 win over the No. 23-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

Thomas (3-0-1) ended the evening very efficient -- scoring four times in their seven shots on goal. While the Blue Raiders (1-2) ultimately out-shot Thomas 16-10, they could only manage the one goal despite a number of near misses.

Thomas goalkeeper Lee Howarth ended the game with two saves. Two more Lindsey Wilson shots found the target but were turned away by a Night Hawk defender. Lindsey Wilson also had two attempts clanged off the post while another ricocheted off the cross bar.

Trailing 3-0, Andrew Revanales gave the Blue Raiders a glimmer of hope with a goal in the 83rd minute. Dioulde Niane set up the goal with a long pass from near midfield onto Revanales' boot just inside the penalty box. Revanales collected the pass and struck it past Howarth to cut the deficit to 3-1.

The Lindsey Wilson goal is the first Howarth has allowed this season.

Jarrod Ingram answered the Lindsey Wilson goal in the 85th minute off Severin Abt's assist. The goal completed the hat trick for Ingram.

Ingram opened the scoring with a pair of goals in the first half. He posted an unassisted goal in the 27th minute while scoring off Abt's first assist of the night in the 30th minute. Leo Thompson scored in the 60th minute to give the Night Hawks the 3-0 lead.

In tonight's first match of the NAIA Southeast Classic hosted by Lindsey Wilson, St. Andrews (N.C.) defeated Bethel (Tenn.) 4-3.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 10, as the Blue Raiders host Northwestern Ohio at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
