Men's Basketball Travels to Battle Lee

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team steps out of conference play to take on NCAA Division II Lee (Tenn.) this evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT in Cleveland, Tenn.

The Blue Raiders (7-5, 0-4 MSC) look to snap their two-game losing skid, last falling to No. 16 Thomas More (Ky.) 66-61 on Saturday night. Calvin Fugett led the game in scoring with a career-high 22 points while shooting four for seven from the three-point line. Elijah Jordan shot five for six from the free-throw line, adding 17 points along with three steals.

Jordan ranks second in the conference in three-point shooting percentage shooting 54.8 percent from beyond the arc while leading the Blue Raiders in scoring with 15.5 points per game. Averaging 6.9 rebounds per game Mark Edmond ranks sixth in the conference in rebounding while also ranking ninth in steals at 1.5 per game. As a team, Lindsey Wilson averages 77.0 points per game while shooting 47.4 percent overall from the floor.

The Flames (4-3, 1-1 GSC) enter the game on the heels of a 69-66 victory over Christian Brothers (Tenn.) on Saturday evening. Junior Jayce Willingham led the scoring efforts for Lee, shooting eight for 11 overall with 17 points. Senior Quay Kennedy and junior Beyuan Hendricks also finished the evening in double-digits scoring 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Willingham leads the Flames in scoring with 14.9 points per game while shooting an efficient 61.5 percent overall, 54.5 percent from the three-point line, and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line. Kennedy leads the team in both rebounding and assists with 5.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. As a team, the Flame average 73.1 points per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the floor.

This will be the third all-time meeting between these two teams with Lindsey Wilson leading the series 2-0. The last meeting was on Nov. 15, 2003, where the Blue Raiders defeated the Flames 71-62.
