OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Lindsey Wilson women's golf closed out its season today with a 17th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships following at the Rose Creek Golf Course.
The Blue Raiders posted a four-round total of 1,251 (308-307-324-312) -- the lowest round to par during a national championship in the program's history.
After finishing up their third round this morning -- resulting in a team total of 324 -- Lindsey Wilson bettered its third round by 12 strokes in the final round.
Malene Clausen produced the team's best round in the finale and ultimately led the Blue Raiders over the four days with a tie for 41st in the 154-woman field. She ended today's final round with a 2-over par 74 to jump 13 spots of the leaderboard and conclude the tournament with a 308 (76-74-84-74).
Clausen carded a team-high eight birdies over the four days, including three today in her final round.
Megan Mann finished one stroke behind her teammate, posting a tournament total of 309 (75-80-78-76) to end in a tie for 46th. Mann carded her second-best round of the tournament today, posting one birdie -- her sixth of the tournament.
Zofia Wojcik tied for 67th, Katie Biddlecombe tied for 77th, and Hannah Sumner finished 90th.
Keiser (Fla.) captured the team national title with a score of 1,184 (289-293-305-297) followed by Taylor (Ind.) with a 1,203 (294-300-305-304). Campbellsville's Gracie Parrott -- playing as an individual -- captured the individual national title with a 287 (69-73-75-70).
