COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson junior varsity women's basketball team went off for a season-high in points and extended its winning streak to four games with a 100-81 victory over Asbury (Ky.) on Monday afternoon.
Tyria Tanner and Juliah Bault each cracked the 20-point threshold with 28 and 21 points, respectively, while Rachel Parrish contributed 18 points.
The Blue Raiders trailed the visiting Eagles 12-7 early in the first quarter, but after a timeout posted a 13-0 run en route to a 27-17 lead at the end of the opening period.
Tanner took over in the second quarter and knocked down all five of her three-pointers to expand the Blue Raiders' lead to 54-36 at the half.
Lindsey Wilson opened the second half on a 9-0 scoring run and went on to keep Asbury in check the rest of the way to crack the century mark and secure the win.
The Blue Raiders hit the road to Williamsburg for a 6 p.m. CST tip-off on Wednesday afternoon against Cumberlands (Ky.).
