LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team opened its indoor season on Saturday at the Commonwealth College Opener at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center
.
The Blue Raiders broke one school record and hit a pair of NAIA qualification standards. In the 60-meter,
Cambell Rawlings broke the school record finishing first with a time of 6.71 and earned an "A" standard.
TreCoreus Blanton earned a "B" standard in the prelims with a time of 6.83 and finished seventh in the finals.
Kai Avery posted a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles finishing with a time of 8.67. Rawlings finished fourth in the 200-meter with a time of 21.82 while
Deanglo Patterson finished in 22.26 to finish 13th.
In the high jump,
Dyse Harding and
Luis Groff finished tied for third with a distance of 1.94 meters. The Blue Raider had three top-10 finishers in the triple jump.
Lorenzo Luces finished fourth with a jump of 14.33 meters,
Jayden Wentz was sixth with a distance of 14.08 meters and
Bishop Bale finished 10th with a jump of 12.62 meters.
Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Jan. 10 for the Vanderbilt University meet held in Nashville, Tenn.
