COLUMBIA, Ky. – A trio of the Lindsey Wilson softball players were named to the Mid-South All-Conference Teams on Wednesday afternoon, the league office announced.
First-team honoree
Kayden Murray, and second-team selections
Kelsie Bostock and

Murray, a freshman from Bowling Green, led the Mid-South nearly wire-to-wire in total strikeouts, finishing the regular season with 168. She also ranks tied for first for wins – 15 – and third for earned run average – 2.05. The four-time conference Pitcher of the Week recorded a five-inning perfect game against Union (Ky.) on February 23, a no-hitter versus Bethel (Tenn.) on April 5, six shutouts, and eight games of 10 or more strikeouts, including one against each of the five Mid-South opponents she faced. Additionally, Murray walked only 12 batters in her 23 appearances, the second-fewest among conference pitchers with at least 100 innings pitched.
Bostock, a senior from Alberta, Canada, set a career-high for hits during the regular season with 29 and is on pace to notch a new personal-best batting average, as well, actively hitting .279. In Mid-South play, Bostock connected on 16 hits for four doubles and seven runs batted-in. She also tallied a team-high 81 putouts from behind the dish and caught three runners stealing. Her .986 fielding percentage for the year is 11th-best in the Mid-South for fielders with at least 50 total chances.
Funk, another senior from Pleasant View, Tennessee, ran the corners of the infield for the Blue Raiders with a .988 fielding percentage. Her eight double plays are tied for the most in the conference, while both her total chances – 171 – and putouts – 157 – rank seventh. At the plate, Funk hit .279 in league play with 19 hits, six doubles, a triple, two home runs and 10 runs batted-in.
