COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson softball's 2026 season was one defined by resiliency, and it carried the Blue Raiders to their ninth Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament championship.

A 42-8 overall record was one of just two in the NAIA with fewer than 10 losses. It also produced the program's best winning percentage since 2019.

Lindsey Wilson won 15 games decided by one run, 14 games against teams who were either ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches Poll, went 7-0 in extra innings, turned in winning streaks of 14 and nine games, and was never shutout  Most impressively, the Blue Raiders started the year unranked but catapulted to as high as No. 10.

Between February 27 and March 22, Lindsey Wilson went 13-1, winning the NFCA-NAIA Leadoff Classic and going 4-0 at the Gulf Shores Invitational before returning home to sweep No. 21 Georgia Gwinnett and taking two out of three from 15th-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.).

On February 28, the Blue Raiders defeated Truett McConnell to earn the program's 1,000th all-time victory.

Callum Maskill became the first in Mid-South Conference softball history to be voted Freshman, Player, and Coach of the Year, while Annabelle Sharber went back-to-back and claimed her second Assistant Coach of the Year award.

NAIA Second-Team All-American Kayden Murray was tabbed Mid-South Pitcher of the Year after leading the league in wins, saves, and strikeouts. She now ranks top 10 in program history for wins (4th), strikeouts (4th), innings pitched (3rd), complete games (3rd), shutouts (5th), saves (4th), and appearances (4th).

Fellow junior Natalie Wandrie surged late in the season. Over the last 12 games of the year, she hit 0.515 with 17 hits, seven home runs, and 15 RBIs. Wandrie's season slugging percentage of 0.757 is tied for seventh-best all-time. Her biggest moment came in the conference tournament when her walk-off, solo home run propelled Lindsey Wilson over Cumberlands to secure the championship.
