LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's track team competed in the Bellarmine Open at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on Friday.
Maxwell Wordui jumped his way into first place in the men's long jump, qualifying with an NAIA "A"-cut standard of 7.45 meters. His winning-efforts came just 0.15 meters shy of Goabaone Mosheleketi's school record, which he set in 2018. Treamaine Browne finished third in the long jump with a leap of 7.10 meters, earning him a"B"-cut standard, and
Dontae Rucker finishing eighth at 6.75 meters.
Lorenzo Luces had another solid week as he came in second place in the men's triple jump with a "B"-cut effort of 14.61 meters.
In the men's 200-meter dash,
Cambell Rawlings and
Demarcus Robertson finished fourth and sixth, respectively, with times of 21.90 and 21.94 seconds.
Justin Stearns ran his way to fourth place in the men's 1000-meter run, finishing with a time of 2:30.11.
The Blue Raiders will be in Danville, Kentucky for the Centre Indoor Showcase Saturday January 25.
