MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Lindsey Wilson men's wrestling team finished fifth at the Hawk Classic Open on Saturday at Garrett Coliseum.

Clarence Lee-Green IV took home the individual title at 125 pounds. Life had two teams compete and took the top two spots tallying 98.5 and 90.5 points, respectively.
Clarence Lee-Green IV (No. 14 in NAIA at 125 pounds) finished first in the 125-pound bracket. Lee-Green opened his tournament with a first-period pin of Huntingdon's Hinds Duncan and then earned a 15-0 tech fall over Kentucky Wesleyan's Bryson Rowley. He advanced to the finals with a 9-2 decision over Tyler Ramos from Truett McConnell. Lee-Green took home first after teammate
Chase Ayers (No. 20 at 125 pounds) forfeited in the finals.
Ayers began his tournament with three-straight first-period pins. In the first round, he defeated Lyon's Ty Ferguson and advanced to the quarterfinals with a victory over Tate Thomas from Truett McConnell. Ayers defeated Huntingdon's Nicholas Nguyen in the quarterfinals. He advanced to the finals with a 4-3 decision over Life's Mikey Doerr.
Will George finished runner-up at 174 pounds. George opened his tournament run with a 12-3 major decision over Noah Lucas from Andrew. He then pinned Life's Connor Edwards in the third period of the quarterfinals. George advanced to the finals with an 8-7 decision over Brad Mahoney. In the finals, he was defeated 4-2 by Life's Steven Villalobos.
Arlo Laxton and Alex Tabor finished fourth in the 133-pound bracket as they were scheduled to face each other in the third-place match and took a double forfeit. Laxton earned a 12-4 major decision over Aiden Lipford from Andrew. In the quarterfinals, he pinned Keiser's Trevon Hawkins-Robertson in the first period. Laxton fell in the semifinals and advanced to the fourth-place match pinning Nick Sykes in just 53 seconds.
Tabor opened his tournament with a 16-6 major decision over Aiden Fonder from Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He then pinned Life's Tyree Henry in 34 seconds in the quarterfinals. Tabor fell 21-6 in the semifinals and picked up a 15-13 decision over Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Blaze Thurber.
Brandon Irigoyen placed fourth in the 157-pound bracket. Irigoyen defeated Matthew Johnson with a 23-9 major decision and advanced to the semifinals with a 19-4 tech fall over Emory & Henry's Zane Perkins. He lost to Life's Jaden New 17-1 in the semifinals. Irigoyen picked up a 7-3 major decision over Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Dylan Cariveau in the consolation semifinals. In the third-place match, he fell to Andrew's Riley Brewer 13-3.
The Blue Raiders return to action for their first Mid-South Conference dual on Wednesday, January 15 in Lebanon, Tennessee against Cumberland (Tenn.)
