Ola Wyrzykowska was voted the Mid-South Conference women's volleyball Attacker of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
The Blue Raiders' outside hitter earns weekly recognition for the second consecutive week, third time this season, and fourth time in her career. She is the first attacker to garner three "Player of the Week" awards in the same season since Kasia Niderla in 2019.
Last week, Wyrzykowska hit 0.268 and averaged 4.19 kills per set across four matches. She finished with 67 total kills, 34 digs, six service aces and five blocks as she became the first player in program history to record 1,000 kills, 1,000 digs, 150 service aces, and 100 blocks in their career.
On Tuesday, Wyrzykowska had 10 kills, five digs, and two aces against No. 10 Cumberlands (Ky.), then posted 16 kills, five digs, and four blocks in a three-set sweep of Georgetown (Ky.) on Thursday.
Over the weekend, she went for 14 kills and 14 digs in a five-set match with Reinhardt (Ga.) before going off for a career-high 27 kills, as well as 10 digs and three aces, to help Lindsey Wilson defeat Bryan (Tenn.).
Wyrzykowska actively leads the Mid-South with 382 total kills and ranks second in kills per set – 3.57 – fifth in total digs – 325, – and seventh in service aces – 40.
Ola and her Blue Raider teammates travel to Cumberland (Tenn.) on Tuesday, and Campbellsville (Ky.) on Thursday.
