COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team moved up two spots to No. 8 in the latest NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Poll, the national office announced Thursday.
The Blue Raiders garnered 112 points in the poll to move up two spots from their preseason ranking.
Nine Lindsey Wilson grapplers are ranked in their respective weight classes.
Reagan Thomas checks in at 12th in the 110-pound weight class while
Callie Payton is fifth at 117 pounds and
Grace Lashinsky is 16th at 117 pounds..
Kamilah Brooks is slotted at No. 6 at 124 pounds.
Lexi Ritchie and
Brielle Bibla are eighth, and 12th at 138 pounds, respectively.
Kori Campbell is ranked sixth at 145 pounds, while
Mallory Ladd is 18th at 180 pounds.
Hayeni Costa is the highest-ranked Blue Raider in the poll coming in at No. 3 in the 207-pound class.
Life (Ga.) leads all MSC schools coming in at No. 1 with 189 points. Indiana Tech is fifth with 128 points while Cumberlands (Ky.) is also in the top 10 with 127 points coming in sixth. Campbellsville (Ky.) is ranked 20th with 45 points. Montreat (N.C.), Lourdes (Ohio), and Rochester Christian are mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll.
Grand View (Iowa) is slotted second with 172 points while William Penn (Iowa) is third with 161 points. Providence (Mont.) is ranked fourth with 156 points.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Saturday for the Adrian Duals in Adrian, Michigan.
