COLUMBIA, Ky. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the qualifiers for the 2025 Men's Wrestling National Championships on Tuesday.
Each conference tournament was awarded automatic bids per weight class based on the final regular-season rating. Each conference is awarded automatic berths based on the number of wrestlers ranked in each weight class. Every conference receives a minimum of one automatic bid per weight class, which will be awarded to the tournament champions, even if the conference did not have any wrestlers ranked in the final regular-season rating.
After the conference tournaments concluded, a 16-member national selection committee consisting of two representatives from each conference met to select the remaining national at-large qualifiers. In total, 35 student-athletes were selected by at-large classification. The seeding and preliminary brackets will be announced on NAIA.org by 5 p.m. (CST) on Friday, February 28.
Set to represent Lindsey Wilson at this year's championship is
Chase Ayers,
Clarence Lee-Green IV,
Adrian Ayala, and
Tony Rogers. All seven Blue Raiders earned automatic bids after their performances at the Mid-South Conference Championship.
Ayers finished runner-up at 125 pounds at the MSC Championship while Lee-Green finished third. Ayala posted a runner-up finish at 141 pounds to earn his way to the National Championship while Rogers finished third at 285 pounds.
Cumberlands (Ky.), Grand View (Iowa), Southeastern (Fla.), and Life (Ga.) will travel a full roster of 12 wrestlers to the national championships while Providence (Mont.), Indiana Tech, and Doane (Neb.) will bring 11 wrestlers total.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference leads all other conferences with 62 total wrestlers qualifying, while the Heart of America Conference follows with 46 wrestlers qualifying. The Appalachian Athletic Conference and the MSC follow close to each other with 39 and 38 wrestlers qualifying, respectively.
The 2025 NAIA Wrestling National Championships are scheduled to take place at Park City Arena in Park City, Kansas March 6-8.
