COLUMBIA, Ky. – On Tuesday, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced that Lindsey Wilson men's wrestling head coach, Jameel Bryant has been named to the NWCA NAIA Hall of Fame.

"This historic induction is a testament to the dedication, discipline, and determination that I have demonstrated at Lindsey Wilson College from day one," Bryant said. "I am deeply honored to be the first wrestler inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame. The NAIA Hall of Fame is not just a recognition of past achievements, it sets the standard for the future of our program."

Bryant is one of three members of this year's class. He will be inducted along with Matt Burns from Grand View (Iowa) and Justin Schlecht from Dickinson State (N.D.) during the NWCA/NAIA Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, August 2, at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

"This achievement reflects the relentless effort of our student-athletes, coaches, and supporters who built Lindsey Wilson Wrestling into a national powerhouse," Bryant added.

Bryant compiled a 56-14 record over his two years as a Blue Raider and became the program's first two-time NAIA National Champion winning the title at 184 pounds in 2013 and 2014. He was named the Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Year in 2013. Bryant ranks fourth all-time in program history with 16 career major decisions.

"This Hall of Fame recognition affirms what I've long believed at Lindsey Wilson College—that a small program can achieve something extraordinary with vision, hard work, and heart. I am proud to lead the way for wrestling programs across the NAIA."
