COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson baseball team heads to Blue Mountain, Mississippi to take on Blue Mountain Christian University for a four-game series Friday-Saturday on Topper Field. 

The series gets underway with a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. CT on Friday and wraps up on Saturday with a doubleheader taking place at 1 p.m. CT.

The Blue Raiders (0-3) are coming off a three-game series  loss on their first road series of the season, falling to Reinhardt University (Ga.) 12-1, 12-2, and 13-5. Matthew Schultz led Lindsey Wilson at the plate going 5-for-10, tallying two RBIs and a home run. Diego Andino went 4-for-10 at the plate knocking in two RBIs on a pair of doubles. Mason Malone, Glenn Simes, and Jonathan Phipps all started on the mound in the three-game series. Malone gave up one run on three hits, two strikeouts, and six walks. Simes pitched four innings, giving up five runs on nine hits, with a walk, and a strikeout. Phipps threw for two strikeouts, five walks, and gave up nine runs on six hits for the weekend. 

Blue Mountain (2-2) is coming off a split series, winning the first two games 12-8, 9-1, and dropping the last two 8-4, 3-1, to William Woods University (Mo.) in their season opener. Jacob Bryant and Austin Garrison both went 6-for-12 at the plate, and Will Crawford went 5-for-12 tallying a combined total of 14 RBIs. Garrison, Crawford, Tyreese Roberson , and Ross Polizzi went yard for two, one, one, and one home runs, respectively. On the mound, the Toppers had an ERA of 6.11, giving up 19 earned runs, and recording 34 strikeouts with Benji Webb leading the way with 10.
