COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider baseball team (3-16) takes to the diamond of Egnew Park at 2 pm CST Tuesday afternoon to face the Firehawks of Tennessee Southern (8-15).

Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 1-2 weekend series with Thomas University (Ga.) and No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett. The Blue Raiders took a 5-3 victory against Thomas on day one and dropped both games on day two, falling 7-4 to Thomas and 20-6 to Georgia Gwinnett. 

Bryce Sidler leads the Blue Raiders at the plate with a batting average of .381, tallying 24 hits in 63 at-bats. Andres Duran leads the team in RBIs, totaling 15 and also a team-high four home runs. Glenn Simes (2-3) heads the mound for Lindsey Wilson, pitching a total of 27.1 innings with an ERA of 6.26. Simes has also faced 118 batters, giving up 22 runs on 38 hits and only allowing 10 walks while picking up 24 strikeouts. 

Tennessee Southern is on a three-game losing streak, after dropping a three-game series to Middle Georgia State University on Friday and Saturday. Cody Womble leads the offense for UT-Southern with 21 hits on 55 at-bats, picking up 10 RBIs and acquiring two doubles. Brayden Buckner leads the team with 32 RBIs and 7 home runs on 25 hits in 81 plate appearances. Ridge Raper leads the charge at the mound for the Firehawks, pitching a total of 26.1 innings, with an ERA of 9.23. Raper has given up 33 runs on 46 hits while acquiring 25 strikeouts and seven walks. 

The last matchup between the two programs occurred on April 16, 2024, when Lindsey Wilson won 12-11. UT-Southern leads the all-time series 15-12, with the programs locked at 5-5 for the last 10 matchups.
