COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider baseball team laces up their cleats for a single game. Lindsey Wilson welcomes the Eagles of Midway University (Ky.) at 2 pm CST Tuesday in Egnew Park.

Lindsey Wilson (4-19) competed in a three-game series versus the (RV) Phoenix of Cumberland University (Tenn.) on Thursday and Friday. The Blue Raiders took Thursday's game 10-9 after trailing 9-7 headed into the bottom of the ninth frame, but dropped both games on Friday 12-3 and 5-1. Bryce Sidler is leading the Blue Raiders at the plate with 30 hits on 79 appearances, 13 runs, and 10 RBIs. Andres Duran carries the team in RBIs with 20 on 23 hits, four doubles, and five home runs. Glenn Simes leads the charge at the mound, pitching a total of 30.0 innings, allowing 29 runs on 45 hits. On the season, Simes has faced 133 batters, given up 12 walks, tallied 25 strikeouts, and maintained an ERA of 6.60. 

Midway (10-13) is coming off a 13-8 win in game three of their three-game series against Shawnee State (Ohio), Friday afternoon. After falling 13-3 in game one and 13-11 in game two, the Eagles will step onto the diamond of Egnew with a win under their belt. Ayden Sciandra and Barrett McGill lead the offense with a .357 and .333 batting average, respectively. Sciandra has 20 hits on 56 at-bats, claiming 12 RBIs and 13 runs. McGill leads the team in RBIs with 21 on 19 of 56 at the plate with three doubles and three home runs. Jackson Lee leads the Eagles bullpen in strikeouts with 33 on the season, facing 85 batters, with just 10 walks. Lee has an ERA of 4.74, allowing 14 runs on 19 hits. 

This will be the eleventh all-time meeting between the two programs, with the most recent coming on March 12, 2024, when the Blue Raiders defeated the Eagles at Midway, 11-0. Lindsey Wilson leads the series between the two teams 8-2. The Blue Raiders are currently on an eight-game win streak against the Eagles. The Blue Raiders are 6-2 at home and average 10.4 runs a game when facing Midway.
