MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team finished seventh at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational Saturday at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
The Blue Raiders tallied 58 points in the 31-team field comprised of NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA schools. Lindsey Wilson tallied three NAIA standards and a pair of wins over the three-day event.
Cambell Rawlings qualified second in the 100 meters with a time of 10.53 seconds. In the finals, Rawlings was 0.2 seconds faster finishing in 10.33 earning an NAIA A standard and finishing second.
Maxwell Wordui finished first in the long jump with a distance of 7.31 meters to earn a national B standard.
Tremaine Browne posted a runner-up finish with a jump of 7.19 meters.
In the triple jump,
Lorenzo Luces finished runner-up with a distance of 14.94 meters earning a B standard.
Jayden Wentz finished eighth with a jump of 13.78 meters.
Justin Stearns finished first in the 800 meter with a time of 1:58.90 while Daniel Äikäs finished 10th in 2:04.22. In the mile,
Logan Bullock finished in 4:39.38 to finish in ninth place.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Enric Fernandez finished third with a time of 56.06. Ian Rosairo Alicea finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.14.
Daniel Otibo finished ninth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.92.
Cambell Rawlings, Otibo,
Demarcus Robertson, and
Deanglo Patterson finished runner-up in the 4x100-meter relay finishing in 41.45. Stearns, Bullock, Äikäs, and
Nick Cummins finished third in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 8:24.40.
Fernandez,
Royce Mentor,
Miah Chatmond, and Otibo finished seventh in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:28.03.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Friday when they host the Blue Raider Rumble at Parnell Family Stadium.
