COLUMBIA, Ky.- Blue Raider baseball hits the road for a Mid-South Conference match-up in Henderson, Tennessee for a two-day series against the Lions of Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on the diamond of Five Wells Field Thursday at 6 pm CT and Friday at Noon and 3 pm CT. 

Lindsey Wilson (4-21, 1-2 MSC) picked up their only conference win of the season on March 13 against Cumberland University (Tenn.) 10-9. Their most recent competition ended in a 12-4 loss to the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City (Ind.). Bryce Sidler leads the team with a .376 batting average, going 32-85 while tallying 10 RBIs, seven doubles, and a home run. Andres Duran leads the team in RBIs and home runs with 20 and five, respectively. Glenn Simes (2-4) leads the Blue Raiders on the mound, pitching a total of 34.2 innings, giving up 34 runs on 53 hits, while maintaining a 7.01 ERA. Simes has faced 155 batters and totals 30 strikeouts and giving up 13 walks. 

Freed-Hardeman (18-14, 0-3 MSC) dropped their only conference series 0-3 to the No. 9 Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) 5-4, 12-1, and 16-12. The Lions are coming off of a 12-8 upset win against No. 19 Johnson University (Tenn.) Cade Fuller leads the offense with a .369 average on 38-of-103 at the plate, with nine home runs, seven doubles, and 33 RBIs. Trace Anderson is 36-for-102, knocking in 30 RBIs on 10 home runs, six doubles, and a triple. Matthew Riley (4-1) leads the bullpen with 39.0 innings pitched, giving up 18 runs on 31 hits. Riley has tallied 42 strikeouts on the season, with 17 walks on 143 batters faced. 

The last match-up between the two programs came on March 17, 2024 and the Blue Raiders were handed an 8-6 loss. The all-time record between Lindsey Wilson and Freed-Hardeman is 19-5 in favor of the Lions. The Blue Raiders have dropped the last 10 contests to Freed, and average 3.75 runs a game versus the Lions.

On Thursday the first pitch will be thrown from the mound of Five Wells Field at 6 pm CT, followed by a noon CT start time on Friday, before the second game follows at 3 pm CT. Live stats and video will be available for all three games..
