Lindsey Wilson Men Compete at Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA, Georgia.- The Lindsey Wilson men's outdoor track and field team showcased strong performances across events at the Georgia Tech Invitational. 


Maxwell Wordui led the way in the field events placing second place in the long jump with a leap of 7.28 meters earning an NAIA 'B' standard. In the triple jump Tremaine Browne and Lorenzo Luces finished 10th and 11th both hitting 'B' standards with leaps of 14.74 and 14.61 meters. 



In the 4x400-meter relay team of Daniel Otibo, Enric Fernandez, Royce Mentor, and Miah Chatmond placed 15th with a time of 3:14.04 setting a 'B' standard while the 4x100-meter relay Demarcus Robertson, Otibo, DeAnglo Patterson, and Wordui finished 17th with a time of 42.02. 



Robertson placed 19th in the 100-meter with a time of 10.65 and 44th in the 200m with a time of 21.98. Patterson finished 61st in the 100-meter at a time of 11.00. In the 400-meter, Otibo placed 25th, Mentor 55th, and Chatmond 62nd at a time of 48.19,49.60, and 51.85. Fernandez finished 39th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.16 



The distance events showcased Justin Stearns placing 30th and Marti Molins placing 55th in the 1500-meter where they had a time of 3:52.61 and 3:57.54. In the 800-meter,Molins led the Blue Raiders with a 37th place finish in 1:53.40, followed by Justin Stearns in 51st with a time of 1:54.28 finishing third in his heat. Logan Bullock came in 70th 1:55.38, placing second in his heat, and Danile Aikas in 106th with a time of 1:57.84. 



The Blue Raiders will be back in action for the Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky Friday April 25 at Cardinal Track Stadium.
