COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider baseball team heads to Kamuf Park in Owensboro Kentucky, to take on Brescia (Ky.) at 3 pm CST for their last non-conference game of the season. 

Lindsey Wilson sits at 6-35 on the season after falling in all three games of their road series at Bethel (Tenn.), 5-1, 17-7, and 10-3 on Friday and Saturday. Bryce Sidler and Matt Schultz power the Blue Raider offense, batting .344 on the season, with Sidler going 45 for 131 at the plate with 14 RBIs and Schultz connecting 42 times in 122 plate appearances, tallying 20 RBIs and five home runs. Andres Duran has a team high seven home runs and 27 RBIs, batting .274 on the season. Glenn Simes has three of the six Blue Raider wins on the mound this season, pitching 50.1 innings with an ERA of 8.94. Simes has tallied 41 strikeouts, given up 20 walks, and allowed 57 runs on 86 hits. 

Brescia (22-14) is coming off an 8-2 victory against West Virginia University Tech on Friday, after falling in games one and two 7-6 and 7-0. Artem Logvinov leads the Bearcats at the plate with a .426 batting average on the season, tallying 43 hits in 101 plate appearances, with 21 RBIs and a single home run. Bryce Gamble leads the team in RBIs with 31, alongside six home runs, while Griffin Taylor has tacked on 29 RBIs and a team-high eight home runs. Peyton Cary leads Brescia in innings pitched, throwing 51.1 and acquiring a 4-2 record in 13 mound appearances, allowing 33 runs on 44 hits. Cary has tallied 38 strikeouts and given up 29 walks, averaging 6.66 strikeouts per nine innings pitched. 

April 15, 2025 marks the last time the two programs met. The Blue Raiders rallied in the bottom of the eighth to score three runs,  holding the Bearcats scoreless in the top of the ninth to secure a 9-7 victory. Lindsey Wilson has won eight of the last ten match-ups, averaging 8.97 runs a game, and leads the all-time series 29-6, with an away record of 10-4.
