Lindsey Wilson Men’s Track & Field Competes at Clark Wood Invitational Ahead of Mid-South Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Clark Wood Invitational on Saturday at Cardinal Track.


In the field events, Dyse Harding earned a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.85 meters. Tremaine Browne placed eighth in the long jump with a leap of 7.13 meters, while teammate Dontae Rucker finished 21st with a jump of 6.75 meters. Summy Manirakiza also competed in the long jump, securing eighth place in his flight with a mark of 6.08 meters. In the triple jump, Jayden Wentz finished 15th with a leap of 13.72 meters. 



In the discus, Leeshawn Johnson threw 30.89 meters, earning a fifth-place finish. Bryan Coleman placed 23rd in the shot put with a throw of 11.13 meters. 



On the track, Campbell Rawlings ran a time of 10.70 seconds in the 100-meter, finishing 25th. Luke Birdsong came in second in his heat with a time of 10.75 seconds. In the 110-meter hurdles, Kai Avery placed 17th overall with a time of 15.56, finishing third in his heat. Demarcus Robertson ran a strong 200-meter race, finishing 21st with a time of 21.56, and securing first place in his heat. Rawlings also competed in the 200-meter, finishing 30th with a time of 21.84, while Royce Mentor IV placed third in his heat, running a time of 22.29.



In the 400-meter hurdles, Enric Fernandez finished 13th with a time of 54.52 seconds. Avery placed 24th with a time of 56.35 seconds, taking second in his heat. In the 1500-meter, Nick Cummins finished third in his heat with a time of 4:08.65. 



The Blue Raiders will return to action on May 4th for the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Championships, which will be held at James H. Taylor II Stadium in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
