COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider baseball team hits the road to Midway University (Ky.) Wednesday afternoon, to face the Eagles at 3 pm CST on Tracy Farmer Field in the Don Ball Stadium. 

Lindsey Wilson (5-27) is coming off a 13-9 loss to Georgetown (Ky.) on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders won game one of the series on Monday 9-6, but dropped game two 7-4, before picking up the final loss of the series in game three. Bryce Sidler leads the offense with a .356 batting average with 37 hits in 104 at-bats, with 12 doubles and 12 RBIs. Andres Duran and Matt Schultz lead the team in home runs with five apiece, along with 21 and 16 RBIs, respectively. Glenn Simes (3-5) heads the mound for the Blue Raiders, firing 42.2 innings, and allowing 48 runs on 70 hits. Simes leads the team in strikeouts with 34 and has allowed 16 walks during his 195 batters faced.

Midway (15-18) won their most recent matchup on April 4 when the Eagles defeated Trinity Christian (Ill.), 5-2. Josh Halterman leads Midway at the plate with a .414 average, tallying 24 hits in 58 plate appearances with 13 RBIs and one home run. Eli Glasscock is leading the Eagles in RBIs and home runs on the season with 33 and 7, respectively. Tommy Henninger has spent the most time on the mound, pitching 35.0 innings with an ERA of 6.17. Henninger has allowed 45 runs on 56 hits, while striking out 38 and walking six of the 156 batters he has faced. 

Lindsey Wilson and Midway last met on March 18, 2025 resulting in a 7-5 loss for the Blue Raiders. This will be the 12th time the programs will meet with LWC leading the series 8-3, and winning the eight of the last 10 contests. The Blue Raiders are 2-0 at Midway and average 9.91 runs when facing the Eagles.
