COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson student-athletes
Aina Domingo Bernabeu and
Anastasiia Vorobiova have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America First Team for the 2024-25 women's tennis season.
Beranbeu and Vorbiova earn the honor for the first time in their careers, and become the third and fourth players in program history to be named to the Academic All-America Team. They are two of 12 players from across the NAIA to earn the distinction.
Bernabeu, a graduate student from Castellar del Valles, Spain, holds a 3.70 grade point average in Cybersecurity Management. This season, she was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Year. Bernabeu posted a 15-2 record in singles at No. 1 and teamed up with
Mariangeles Mateu, posting a 15-2 record in doubles.
Voriobiova, a senior from Odessa, Ukraine, is a Business Administration major with a 3.55 GPA. She compiled an 11-3 record in singles play this season and teamed up with
Heyka Rodriguez in doubles to go 15-2 and ranked first in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association doubles rankings.
The duo helped lead the Blue Raiders to an 18-3 overall record, a third straight MSC tournament title, and a second consecutive NAIA national tournament semifinal appearance.
