BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament Saturday at the Warren County Tennis Facility.

Mayara Gisone and Martina Cortal took home gold in the first doubles flight. The duo defeated Cumberlands' (Ky.) Haruna Kojima and Mahiro Hara 6-2 in the first round. They then earned a 6-1 victory over Rion Yanuma and Liu YuFang from Cumberlands. Gisone and Cortal defeated teammates Heyka Rodriguez and Mariangeles Mateu 7-5 in the finals. Rodriguez and Mateu reached the finals with 7-5 and 6-0 victories.

Hang Nguyen and Blanca Trillo won the second doubles flight. They started their tournament with a 6-2 victory over Cumberland's (Tenn.) Valentina Mendez and Elina Sungatullina. The pair advanced to the finals with a 7-5 win against Eva Cancarevic and Skye Maclean from Cumberlands. In the finals, they earned a 6-3 victory over Wansai Kasikampaiboon and Jirachavala Puckaporn of Cumberlands.

Gisone took gold in the first singles flight. She defeated Georgetown's (Ky.) Molly Archer 6-0, 6-0 and then Hara 6-0, 6-1 in the semifinals. Gisone defeated Trillo 6-3, 6-1 in the finals. Trillo reached the finals after defeating Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Elise Kruzan 6-1, 6-1 and Marina Nagai of Cumberlands.

Mateu won gold in the second flight. She started her tournament with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Cumberland's Asya Timur. Mateu then punched her ticket to the finals with a 5-7, 6-1, 10-4 victory over Kojima. Mateu defeated teammate Javiera Verdugo 6-4, 6-4 in the finals. Verdugo defeated Maclean 6-3, 6-0 in the first round and Sungatullina 2-6, 6-2, 10-6 in the semifinals.

Rodriguez defeated Freed-Hardemn's Kennely Kirk 6-1, 6-1 in her first match in the third singles flight. She then won 6-2, 6-4 over Cumberlands' Bryndis Rosa in the semifinals before defeating Nguyen 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 in the finals. Nguyen won her first match 6-4, 6-3 over YuFang and defeated Cortal 1-6, 7-6, 10-8 in the semifinals. Cortal won her first round match over Freed-Hardeman's Vanessa Avila 6-0, 6-1.

Antonina Butrova reached the semifinals in the fourth singles flight. Butrova defeated Cumberland's Juanita Mendez 6-0, 6-0 before falling to Cancarevic 6-1, 6-3.

The Blue Raiders now begin preparations for the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament, September 25-28, at the Lackey Tennis Center in Georgetown, Kentucky.
