COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson women's tennis captured its fourth consecutive Mid-South Conference Tournament championship in 2026 before advancing to the NAIA National Championship match, where the Blue Raiders finished as national runners-up.

Lindsey Wilson posted a 19-2 overall record, highlighted by a 16-match winning streak from Feb. 28 through May 15. During that stretch, the Blue Raiders defeated seven nationally ranked opponents, went undefeated in Mid-South Conference play and on their home courts, and recorded 10 sweep victories.

The Blue Raiders opened the season ranked No. 3 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll before moving up to No. 2 after a runner-up finish at the ITA NAIA National Indoor Championships. Lindsey Wilson maintained the No. 2 ranking throughout the remainder of the season while dominating the regular season and carrying that momentum into postseason play.

In doubles, Lindsey Wilson compiled an impressive 53-4 overall record and finished a perfect 17-0 in conference competition. Leading the way, Mayra Gisone and Martina Cortal posted a flawless 18-0 record as a doubles pairing.

Gisone also led the Blue Raiders in singles with 16 victories. Blanca Trillo Pita de Veiga and Javiera Verdugo each finished 15-1 in singles play while remaining undefeated against Mid-South Conference opponents.

Historically, Heyka Rodriguez climbed to second place on Lindsey Wilson's career doubles wins list, while Martina Cortal finished her career atop the program's all-time leaderboard in doubles winning percentage.

Head coach Eric Bernabeu improved to 57-8 through his first three seasons leading the Blue Raiders. His 57 career victories leave him just 11 wins shy of matching Audra Nothwehr's program-record 68 wins, set from 2004-07.
