COLUMBIA, Ky. – For the first time in her career, Lindsey Wilson junior
Natalia Gorska was tabbed Mid-South Conference women's Swimmer of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
The Skierniewice, Poland native contributed to seven of the Blue Raiders' 11 victories during last weekend's Dr. Dillery Fall Frenzy.
On Friday, Gorska posted her first NAIA provisional standard mark with a win in the 50-yard freestyle. The next day, she led the field in the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes. Her time in the shorter of the two races – 59.65 – met provisional standards and was the only time under one minute. Gorska's 200-yard backstroke time – 2:13.15 – narrowly missed provisional time but is a personal-best for her in the event.
In addition to her solo performances, Gorska anchored each of Lindsey Wilson's four winning relays.
Natalia and her Blue Raider teammates are back home at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, October 18 to swim against Cumberlands (Ky.).
