HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team competed at the Marshall Alumni Classic on Saturday, January 10, in Huntington, West Virginia.
The Blue Raiders had several strong performances.
Maxwell Wordui won the long jump with a mark of 7.35 meters, meeting the NAIA "A" standard. Wordui also finished second in the 60 meters prelims with a time of 6.79 seconds, earning the NAIA "B" standard.
Cambell Rawlings finished first in the 60 meters with a time of 6.76 seconds, also meeting the NAIA "B" standard.
Other top-three finishes included
Daniel Otibo winning the 600 meters in 1:24.05,
Miah Chatmond finishing third in the 400 meters in 50.13 seconds,
Jayden Wentz placing second in the triple jump with 14.41 meters, and
Leeshawn Johnson taking third in the weight throw with 14.47 meters.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Friday and Saturday, January 16-17, at the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
