COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's wrestling team hits the road for a pair of Mid-South Conference duals, taking on Georgetown (Ky.) on Thursday at 5 p.m. CT at Davis-Reid Alumni Gym and No. 20 Campbellsville (Ky.) Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CT at the Campbellsville Wrestling Facility.
The Blue Raiders are coming off a fifth-place finish at the NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships last weekend. Lindsey Wilson went 4-1 at the National Duals, picking up victories over No. 13 Ottawa (Kan.), No. 10 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 9 Texas Wesleyan, and No. 11 Southern Oregon. The Blue Raiders' lone loss came to No. 4 William Penn.
In the current Coaches' Poll, 11 Blue Raiders are ranked in their respective weight classes with seven being ranked in the top 10.
Georgetown is in its first season as a program. The Tigers were last in action on December 21 at the Hilltopper duals. The Tigers fell to West Liberty (W. Va.) 34-15 before picking up their first-ever dual win 29-11 over Hiram (Ohio).
Campbellsville went 0-4 at the National Duals, falling to Ottawa, William Penn, Missouri Valley, and Dickinson State (N.D.). The Tigers have six individuals ranked in their respective weight classes, led by Kylee Tait, who is ranked eighth at 160 pounds.
