LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team finished second out of six teams at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships on Monday at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, highlighted by multiple All-Conference honors and NAIA qualifying marks.
Cambell Rawlings ran 6.82 in the 60-meter prelims to qualify for the finals, placing first.
D'Antonio Warren also qualified with a time of 6.97 to finish fourth. DeAngelo Patterson ran 7.03 to place seventh and advance, while Trey Blanton also made the finals with a time of 7.03.
In the finals, Rawlings ran 6.80 to hit the NAIA "B" standard and earn All-Conference honors.
In the 200 meters, Warren placed second in 21.64 while Rawlings finished third in 21.76. Both earned All-Conference recognition in the event.
In the 400 meters,
Daniel Otibo finished first in 48.28, hitting the NAIA "B" standard and earning All-Conference honors.
Royce Mentor IV ran 49.03 to place third and also earned All-Conference recognition.
In the high jump,
Janer Caicedo Campaz placed first with a leap of 2.04 meters to hit the NAIA "B" standard.
Dyse Harding cleared 1.95 meters as both athletes earned All-Conference honors.
In the long jump,
Maxwell Wordui jumped 7.01 meters to finish first and earn All-Conference honors.
In the shot put,
Elijah Bullock threw 12.90 meters to place third and earn All-Conference honors.
In the triple jump,
Summy Manirakiza leaped 12.73 meters to place third and earn All-Conference recognition.
In the weight throw, Bullock earned his second All-Conference honor of the day, winning the event with a throw of 15.04 meters.
Leeshawn Johnson placed second with a mark of 14.54 meters, also earning All-Conference honors.
In the relays, the 4000-meter distance medley team of
Ashton Johnson,
Maximus Kilby,
Landon Franich, and
Kevin Cuin placed third in 11:04.50 to earn All-Conference honors. The 4x400-meter relay team of
Royce Mentor IV,
D'Antonio Warren,
Miah Chatmond, and
Daniel Otibo also finished third in 3:19.09 to claim All-Conference recognition.
Assistant coach
Alexia DeHaven was named Women's Indoor Coach of the Year, marking the first time an assistant coach in program history has received the honor.
