Blue Raider Men’s Track and Field Posts Strong Performances at Eastern Indoors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson's men's track and field team had a strong showing at the Eastern Indoors Friday, earning top finishes and NAIA standards at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

In the 60 meters, Cambell Rawlings ran 6.84 in the prelims to qualify for the final. TreyCoreus Blanton 6.94, Jakoby Graves 6.99, Daniel Otibo 7.00, Colin Lay 7.01, and Deanglo Patterson 7.03 also qualified. In the final, Rawlings won in 6.73 to meet the NAIA "A" standard. Blanton finished second in 6.94. Lay and Patterson tied for third in 6.98. Otibo placed fifth in 7.00 and Graves finished seventh in 7.09.

In the 60-meter hurdles, Kai Avery ran 8.56 in the prelims to qualify for the final. In the final, Avery placed third in 8.38.

In the 200 meters, Cambell Rawlings ran 21.55 to place first and meet the NAIA "B" standard. D'Antonio Warren placed fourth in 21.88. Daniel Otibo finished fifth in 21.93.
In the 400 meters, Daniel Otibo won in 47.56 to meet the NAIA "A" standard while also setting a new school record. Royce Mentor IV placed second in 48.99. Enric Fernandez finished eighth in 49.94.

In the 800 meters, Bryce Clayton placed seventh in 2:00.94.

In the high jump, Janer Caicedo Campaz cleared 2.00. Luis Groff and Dyse Harding tied for second at 1.90.

In the triple jump, Jayden Wentz led with 14.41. Lorenzo Luces finished second at 14.27.

In the long jump, Summy Manirakiza jumped 6.42 and Lorenzo Luces jumped 6.42.

The 4x400-meter relay teams also competed. Demarcus Robertson, D'Antonio Warren, Kairell Avery, and Maximus Kilby ran 3:24.10 to finish first. Jakoby Graves, Colin Lay, Christian Yarbrough, and Nijae McBride ran 3:28.32 to finish second.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action Tuesday, February 17, at the Mid-South Conference Championships inside the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
