COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson indoor track and field teams will return for the Eastern Indoors on Friday, February 6 inside the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The Blue Raiders come off a strong showing at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, where both the men's and women's teams posted standout performances. On the men's side,
Daniel Otibo ran personal bests in the 200 meters with a time of 21.66 seconds and the 400 meters in 48.11 seconds, meeting the NAIA 'B' standard.
Cambell Rawlings reached the 60-meter finals, finishing sixth, while the men's 4x400-meter relay of
Miah Chatmond,
Enric Fernandez,
Royce Mentor IV, and Otibo clocked 3:17.09 for another 'B' standard.
Tyler Colvin added a top-eight finish in the 3,000 meters with a personal best of 8:48.19.
On the women's side, freshman
Promise Amasiatu led the sprints, recording NAIA 'A' standards in the 60 and 200 meters.
Hannah Reid earned 'B' marks in the 200 and 400 meters, while
Rosemond Owusu posted a personal best in the long jump and
Selena Johnson hit a 'B' standard in the triple jump.
The Blue Raiders will look to build on their momentum at the Eastern Indoors starting at 9 a.m. in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
