COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson student-athlete Martina Cortal has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Cortal, of Barcelona, Spain, earns her first-career weekly honor after going 1-0 in both singles and doubles in a 7-0 victory over Campbellsville (Ky.). At No. 2 singles, she defeated Valentina Curli 6-3 in the first set before clinching the victory for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-2 win in set two. Cortal teamed up with Mayra Gisone and won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles to earn the doubles point for Lindsey Wilson.
 
The Blue Raiders are now 6-1 this season and off to a 3-0 start in the MSC.
 
Cortal and the Blue Raiders return to action on Tuesday, hosting (RV) Grace (Ind.) at 1 p.m. CT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
