COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's track and field team posted a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Monday at Parnell Family Stadium.
The Blue Raiders tallied 201.50 points over the two-day event to finish second. Cumberlands (Ky.) captured the championship with 285.50 points. Campbellsville (Ky.) finished third with 146 points.
Maxwell Wordui captured the conference championship in the 100-meter dash, tying the school record with a time of 10.28 and earning an A standard.
Cambell Rawlings finished runner-up with an A standard time of 10.31, while
Nijae McBride finished in 10.58 to place fifth.
Jakoby Graves and
Colin Lay finished in seventh and eighth, respectively.
Kai Avery finished runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing with an NAIA B standard time of 14.41.
Tyler Colvin finished eighth in the 1500-meter run, finishing in 4:03.73, earning a team point. In the 400-meter hurdles, Avery finished first with a B standard time of 53.12.
Enric Fernandez finished runner-up with a time of 53.60, while
Mason Magyar placed sixth in 1:01.32.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Avery,
Miah Chatmond,
Demarcus Robertson, and
Jakoby Graves finished runner-up with a time of 3:16.60.
D'Antonio Warren earned All-Conference honors in the 200-meter dash coming in third with a time of 22.04. Graves finished fifth with a time of 22.67.
Lindsey Wilson held the top three spots in the high jump.
Janer Caicedo Campaz took home the conference title with a jump of 2.00 meters.
Dyse Harding finished second with a distance of 1.95 meters, while
Luis Groff was third.
Jordan McIntyre finished tied for fourth with a jump of 1.90 meters.
Lorenzo Luces captured the conference championship in the triple jump with a distance of 14.85 meters to earn a B standard.
Jayden Wentz finished runner-up with a jump of 14.36 meters, while Campaz was fifth with a distance of 13.22 meters.
Summy Manirakiza and McIntyre finished in seventh and eighth, respectively.
Elijah Bullock earned All-Conference in the shot put with a throw of 14.04 meters.
Bryan Coleman finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 39.57 meters.
The Blue Raiders now begin preparations for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, beginning on May 20 in Asheville, North Carolina.
