COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team earned an at-large bid into the 31st annual NAIA Women's Golf Championship, NAIA officials announced Friday.
The Blue Raiders are one of three Mid-South Conference teams in the field. Cumberlands (Ky.) earned the conference's automatic bid after capturing the MSC Tournament title. Cumberland (Tenn.) also earned an at-large bid.
In the final coaches' poll, the Blue Raiders garnered 253 points to be slotted 15th in the poll.
Lindsey Wilson is one of 30 teams to qualify for a chance at a championship. The Blue Raiders are making their 12th appearance in the championship.
Last year, the Blue Raiders finished ninth at the NAIA National Championship.
The championship is scheduled to be played at Eagle Crest Golf Course in Ypsilanti, Michigan, May 19-22.
First and second round pairings and tee times for the championships will be released on Monday, May 11.
The Blue Raiders are in search of the program's first national team title. Krista Burton represents Lindsey Wilson's only individual NAIA national champion, winning in 2007.
